“College is a tool for living, never the destination. … I want to give my students what they will need long after the acceptance letter. Three things, above all: consistency, the ability to truly understand, and confidence.”
Chi Young Ji, Director · IC Math & Science
- ConsistencyIn a week, nothing seems to change. In a year, or five, or ten, the gap becomes impossible to close.
- Knowing how to understandA person who knows how to understand can learn anything.
- ConfidenceNot vanity, but confidence that has been earned.

Where Our Students Go
Do you follow the school curriculum or your own?
It depends on the goal. Preview Classes follow the ICMS curriculum. If the goal is school grades, we follow your child’s school curriculum closely, including the syllabus, homework, and test dates.
Is there homework?
Students in Preview Classes, and those who need extra practice, get homework. Students in 10th grade and up, who are already busy, and students in AP courses don’t get separate homework. Instead, we give them personalized practice problems to work through before tests and quizzes.
How do you place students in a class?
For math, we always start with an assessment so we know exactly where your child is, then place them in the right class. Parents are welcome to sit in on the first math assessment, and the free consultation includes a 30-minute diagnostic.
Do the directors teach classes themselves?
Yes. Both directors teach group classes. One-on-one lessons are taught by our other teachers, and the directors oversee every class and handle all communication with parents.
Can my child try a class before enrolling?
Yes. Your child can take a trial class before you decide to enroll.
Can my child switch classes later?
Of course. If a different class or level fits your child better, they can switch at any point during the term.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. Tuition is usually billed monthly, and you can stop anytime. If you do, we refund the remaining classes in full.
How many students are in a class?
Group classes have up to 6 students. One-on-one lessons are also available and are taught by our teachers other than the directors.
What if my child misses a class?
Missed group classes can be made up with the Zoom recording. We’ll explain the details when you enroll.
Can we join if we don’t live near Fullerton?
Yes. Students join classes from our Fullerton center live on Zoom. Right now, students from Hawaii to New York, across 15 states and Canada, learn with us.
Is the consultation available in Korean?
Yes. Consultations are available in English or Korean. Fill out the form, and a director will contact you within one business day.
What happens after the consultation?
A free 30-minute diagnostic shows where your child is, and we recommend the right class and level. There’s no obligation to enroll.
How much is tuition?
We’ll walk you through tuition during the consultation, based on the subject and class type.
How do you keep parents informed?
The directors handle all communication with parents. Every month, you’ll receive a report on your child’s progress and the plan for the next month.
